There’s a story about an ambitious frog who wanted to jump from the bottom to the top of a building. All the other frogs around him thought he was crazy.

“You’ll never make it,” one of them said. “No one has ever jumped that high,” yelled another. While they were all talking him down, this little frog flexed his leg muscles, and with his eyes focused on the top of the

building, he leaped.

“You can do all things”

– Philippians 4:13

Isaiah 43:18-19

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

The other frogs watched in disbelief as he landed right on top of the building, just as he said he would.

How was the frog able to achieve such a feat, you ask? He had a mindset. He envisioned himself jumping so high and believed he could. Oh, and he was deaf too!

We could learn a lesson or two from that ambitious frog that could help us in these perilous days

we’re in. Sometimes there can be too much negativity around us. This might be people telling you that you cannot recover your losses from the pandemic or your health will never be the same again, or your business will not go back to the way it used to be, or you cannot repair your relationship with your partner.

Are you going to be like that frog who believed, or are you going to listen to the naysayers?

God says in Isaiah 43:18-19 (NIV), “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the

wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

Just as winter makes way for spring, difficult times will come to an end in your life. But you have to believe. Don’t just say “I’m in a new season,” have the mindset. Let the words and their meaning come alive in you. See yourself in a new season of abundance, healing, and divine

breakthrough.

Don’t be like the other frogs who said “Don’t bother.” You have the ability to do great things, not because of who you are but because of who He is. Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” Do not trust in your own flesh; draw strength from your Father in heaven.

Don’t listen to what the world is saying but what God is saying. He’s saying, “You can do all things” (Philippians 4:13), “I will provide all your needs” (Philippians 4:19), “By the stripes of Jesus, you are healed” (Isaiah 53:5).

Out with the old

Before the start of a new season or a new year, many people do what’s called spring cleaning, where they thoroughly clean their homes. They throw out the old, worn-out things, clean up the home from top to bottom, and then bring in new stuff.

In the same vein, you have to thoroughly clean your mind and your spirit if you want to partake of the blessings of the new season. Do away with all the negative mentality. Get rid of all the thoughts of failure, setback, unforgiveness, and revenge in your heart. You might even have to

remove some useless people from your life because God is about to bring some newness into your life.

Understanding the times

1 Chronicles 12:32 talks about the “Sons of Issachar.” These were men who were part of David’s army and were gifted with the ability to understand seasons and also the wisdom to know the right things to do.

It is important for Christians to be able to discern spiritual seasons, too, so the enemy will not be able to deceive them into believing they’re stuck in one season and can never experience a better one. You’re about to step into a new season. It doesn’t matter how long your winter has lasted. Don’t you perceive it? Spring is about to start!

Conclusion

Your miracle has already been dispatched from heaven, and an angel is on his way to deliver it to you. The question is, do you believe? Will you be like that frog who leaped to the top of the building, or like the ones below who were convinced they couldn’t break their own limits and reach new heights? Don’t listen to the naysayers. Get rid of your fear and put your faith

in Jesus.
