Does God notice the struggle, difficulty, and pain we’re going through? Does he see us grieving over the loss of our loved ones, or how we struggle to provide for our families? Does He really know how much pain this pandemic has caused?

Many people want to give up. Even believers are losing faith during these hard times. They don’t want to worship God or pray anymore. They’ve been weighed down by the various burdens they’ve had to

carry as a result of the global crisis.

“As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him”

Psalm 18:30

Mark 11:24

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours

How does God see us during this difficult period of our lives? What are His thoughts? Let’s turn to scripture for answers.

His ways are perfect

Psalm 18:30 says, “As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him.” There is confusion in the world right now, but God’s word says His ways are perfect. His word is faultless and it will always come to pass. It doesn’t matter how heavy your burden is; He invites you to lay it at His feet. Everyone who runs to Him will receive divine protection and peace.

It seems the world is in a state of confusion right now. There’s so much negative news, from violent earthquakes and uncontrollable wildfires to nations threatening each other with wars. Almost two years on and many countries are still struggling to put the COVID-19 pandemic under control. Does God care about what’s going on?

Seeing the world through God’s eyes

It only seems like the devil has unleashed a torrent on earth because we’re viewing the world with our physical eyes and not through the eyes of God. When we see things in the physical, we tend to interpret them in the physical as well. But when we see things using spiritual eyes, we tend

to interpret what we see spiritually.

Our physical eyes have limits. They can’t see the big picture, which is God’s divine plan for us and how the story really ends. Also, as humans, what we see affects our emotions. If we focus on the negatives around us and not turn to God’s word for a different perspective, we’re only going to weigh ourselves down. Your eyes might be telling you all hope is lost while God sees the beginning of a new season.

His ways are not our ways

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” -Isaiah 55:8-9 (NIV)

God made it clear in the passage above that He doesn’t think the way we do. He operates at a much higher realm, so this is no surprise. But oftentimes we forget this simple truth. We think God is as worried and helpless about our circumstances as we are. But that’s incorrect. While you’re probably just thinking about putting bread on the table, God’s plan for you might be to feed an entire nation. While you’re probably worried about getting a job, God’s plan might be to make you a blessing to generations, just like Abraham.

Submit to God’s thoughts and plans. His word says in Jeremiah 29:11, “’For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” God says He knows the plans He has for you. This means He is completely sure of them and nothing in heaven or on earth can stop them. Do you see why you need to stop worrying about what’s happening around you and trust in His divine plan?

Conclusion

God sees and thinks differently from us. He sees the suffering, but He knows His plans for us are good. He sees the loss, but He knows there will be a restoration. He sees the pain, but He knows rejoicing comes in the morning.

Don’t dwell on the negative reports. God will turn your situation around. But you have to block out all the noise around you and focus on Him. Submit to Him. Draw peace from Him. He has given you a purpose, and He will surely see it come to pass.
